Oh man I didn’t know Xaoc made a freq shifter. That’s dangerous- their stuff is so frickin cool. They have an additive oscillator that is prohibitively expensive but sounds like dreams.

I'd gladly take a chance on that if the decimal point was moved. It would be nice to see the inside. I'd bet it's some tried and true synth company ring mod circuit, though with no big name attached to the build, there is no reason to pay big money.

yeah, no matter how fab a one-off ring mod might be i don’t think it’s worth as much as a whole synth, guitar, or amp. now, if i had Aphex Twin money it’d be a different story. i would like to hear it though.

Yep, it's expensive. Seller wrote they have mp3s and accept "reasonable" offers. :snax: :poke:

:snax:
The Dot Matrix is, at heart, an envelope-controlled square-wave tremolo—but it defies easy classification, and thrives in the liminal space between familiar modulation and sonic chaos. From choppy tremolo to bit-crushing, ring modulation, and everything in between, the Dot Matrix unlocks gritty, lo-fi textures and uncharted sonic territory, all controlled by your playing dynamics.

I can't quite imagine what this might sound like. Total chaos, apparently.

When Moog first rolled out the white finishes, it was a Nova Musik exclusive (defunct name, now folded back into Kraft Music). The option was known as lunar whitewash. They were limited to small batches, and I don't think you could pre-order them. I think it took me about a year of waiting to get my FreqBox. After a few years, other dealers were given the option.

I wonder if Warm Audio will do more of these lunar finishes in future knock-offs. I wish Moog would give you the option to change skins on their plugins. It'd be fun to see some of their artist series and customs in the DAW space. (they used to offer them in newsletter giveaways...once or twice a year you might see a phaser with hand-drawn doodles or custom side pieces)
