Re: = Introduce Yourself =
Hey, all! I’ve browsed this forum several times over the years, but finally joined. I had been a frequent contributor at a particular amp forum for several years, but I finally realized that the bunch that frequents that forum is not like minded - on tone or most other things. I have a good feeling about this place, and I’m hoping it’s a more open minded group.
I’m a fan of driving amps hard for big thick tones. I like them big or small, tube or solid state. Throw a fuzz in front and get it even thicker. I’m a fan of all kinds of music, from classical to doom, and occasionally more extreme, as long as the musicians are being real. I taught myself electronics, so I also make pedals once in awhile, and I love to mod amps.
Looking forward to sharing!

Hey y'all. After 3 or 4 tries, I was able to sign up today. I'm @desertrat07 over on TGP. This place is different. I don't yet have my bearings. Why does Captain Picard have his hand over his face?
Been playing a new (used) amp lately - a P2P Tremendous Reverb (PR with a 12" Celestion Gold, a mids knob, and KILLER reverb/trem). With a good dynamic fuzz in front, it's tonal heaven. Haven't even tried it with a delay or anything else yet, just the fuzzes.
On that note, keep on fuzzin'

Welcome!
Picard usually does the facepalm because he's stressed but we often use it to mean embarrassment.

Wow—it’s been like an eon since we’ve had anyone new, hasn’t it? We’ll try to be gentle.

Re: = Introduce Yourself =
I've noticed some sentiments being expressed over in the "Strictly Fuzz" thread on TGP that TGP is a bit of a bummer despite how fun the "Strictly Fuzz" thread and a few others might be. Included in these sentiments (like the plastic toy in a box of rice-paper candies) is the notion that ILF just might be a place with a warm glow where people talk about fuzz without having to wade through the shit-stained threads that TGP is bespattered with.
[Of course the annals of ILF are rife with threads of yore full of shit-posts and other effusive ephemera that harken back to a certain time period in the illustrious history of ILF when a certain fuzz-pedal-maker went off on some ever-more devious "hot takes" about random assortments of random shit-postable topics that are probably best left half-forgotten.]
Perhaps more new Strictly Fuzzonians will join ILF or are in the process of attempting to do so?
Unlike TGP, this place is mostly held together with rusty wires and duct tape [ILFers] and powered by hamsters [busy ILFers who also make fuzz pedals].
Proof of this Hamster Theory can be found by slurping of the puddin' in the below thread:

For those who manage to join ILF, WELCOME!
Should the need arise, this link is also at the bottom of the first forum page, and you can access it there at any time when/if a sensation of gratitude wells up and washes over your newly ILFed ILFheart (for as it is said: thou who has smelt must have done dealt it).

Thanks Gone Fission, thanks Seance for the warm welcomes. Seance, I know you from TGP too - a sage and a poet.
I'll try to misbehave my best here. Are there rules? I didn't see any, but honestly didn't really look yet.

I think the rules can be boiled down to "don't be a jerk" and everything is golden.
