Wheelchair sports clip with music by me

Post by Seedy »

Hey all, this is a short video called "Champions" about sports rehabilitation for disabled people. It happens to feature music from one of my projects, Karma Canon. KC is all improvised but since 2002 we've recorded everything we've ever done, so we have many, many hours of (often good!) music. Here's a link to the Champions video http://nightcapchronicles.com/blog/?p=545 (KC's "A Song" comes in at 1:45 and plays over the closing credits), and a link to the Karma Canon page at freakoftheweek.com http://www.freakoftheweek.com/?cat=8. The songs are often long so I find it best in the background while engaging in other activities, like rolling blunts, or smoking blunts, or sewing.

Nice! That's some amazing stuff... and improvised!?! Holy crap. I plan on sorting through that archive of songs. Nicely done, man.

Awesome work there, Seedy. Also, being in a wheelchair myself, I can say that it's great to see videos like this that show that 'people like us' really can do alot more than people give us credit for. The guy falling out at 2:50 made me die a little on the inside though  that's never fun..especially with ALOT of other 'chairs around.
Anyway...nice work!!!! :thumb: I think it was great how the songs were sorta coordinated so they fit with what was going on in the film.

Thanks, Shut-in! Hmm, that seems rude when I address you by name ;) . Regarding the vid, I don't know the makers but it somehow came about through the friendship or patronage of my talented friend Lee http://nightcapchronicles.com/blog/?page_id=2, who drums for Karma Canon. The music wasn't all us but it seemed like a good collection of unheard goodness, and the video was well edited. Sorry about the wheelchair. I have MS so I'm usually fine but then I'll all of a sudden be on a cane or in bed for weeks. I'm fine right now thank God, and it's nice to see the people in the video be unburdened by the shit that can happen over a lifetime. Just gotta keep movin'.

I'm not sure. Art wise it was all music/video editors from around Philadelphia. I think the sports club may be from around there too. I'll get back to you.
