:idk: I can't afford an all tube amp. I'd have to basically sell all of my pedals and a bass just to offset the cost of one. Meanwhile I like my T21 Leeds just fine. But I'm not a big fan of the VT's tone. Then again, I'm not a big fan of ampeg tones either.

Yeah, actually neither am I... I spend many years EQing out the "ampegness" of my SVTCL [I painted a house to get the $$$ for it] And although I got some nice tones getting that ampeg edge off was hard... in the end I saved up for a few years and got a mesa.

Tubes into tubes into tubes into lots of speakers. And then get more speakers and tubes.

It’s good being old..
I bought all my tube gear new, or in the ‘80s when the world went rack and it was cheap.

Also I live very close to where Gil Southworth had his shop so could check out pretty much any vintage amp or guitar/bass when ever I wanted. The original Sansamp didn’t come close in a real life A/B test IMO so never tried any of their other stuff.

I never liked Muffs, my brother had one in the ‘70s and it broke within a year. I always thought the Foxx Tone Machine sounded so much better any way.

I did buy a Sanford and Sonny Blue Beard though.
Mostly impulse because every one on TB was on that band wagon and complaining about the wait list or about getting on it. I walked into Atomic and there were 3 just sitting there so I tried it said I could use it for a song and bought it. Mean while back on TB the wait list grew. Ok it was mostly a giving them the finger buy. :poke:

I've never played any of the original Muffs so I can't comment on those but I love my Supercollider. It was a band wagon to hop on but I think it was worth the hype. I'm dumb and have it unnecessarily in a clean blend.

My excuse is I need somefresh cable and like 2 plugs (G.L's) and I want to redo my whole board and clean up the mess with those white router clips.

My first fuzz was a Green Sovtek so I have a soft place in my head for the things... I have five muffiants they just don't jive with my sound, turns to mud, even with blend... in a bad way.. except for the Thundercloud for some reason... but FH The Great Wall has replaced it on my board. Really I just hate the BBM and everything it stands for!

Even with the fiasco of zeibek/music electronix, it still sounds and behaves like no other pedal I know. It's pretty much perfect for what I need it to do with my amp and bass setup right now.

I quit posting at talkbass. When I get back to doing demos again, I may spam them there.

New baby Vivienne doesn't like bass fuzz while napping.

Builder has gone awol while holding the bag on loads of people's money and pedals without delivering. And it has happened before and still people paid no heed.

It sucks all the more because his pedals are SO GOOD. Bye Bye Sub TMK.
