I'mma be in Toronto this Saturday and all 4 people I was going with just bailed at the last minute. Fuck em, I'm still going. Is there any shows I should check out this weekend? Anything cool at all? If not I'm just going to be binge drinking on Ossington and buying pedals at Moog.

Saturday is a bit quiet, show-wise. What kinda vibez you looking for?
If you want something fancy/cool, Gord Grdina’s The Marrow is at the Aga Khan Museum (avant-jazz with Arabic/Persian tonality). Pricey and a chunk north of downtown, but in one of the most beautiful theatres in the city. (http://www.facebook.com/events/2041990405854816/)
Mary Margaret O'Hara will be playing in an improvised trio at The Tranzac. (If she shows up.)
WLMRT (agitated schizo punk) are playing at the Baby G. (http://www.facebook.com/events/269009564039517/)
John Southworth, one of the city's finest singer-songwriters, will be launching a new album at The Imperial Pub. Incredible band with Christine Bougie + more. I might be at this one.
Ian Blurton (of Change of Heart, C'mon, etc. etc.) + his current band Future Now is at The Dakota. No idea what they're like, but this one has the distinction of being on Ossington.

I definitely don’t have my ear to the ground the way my dude Heraclitus here does but I’m just popping in to say I hope you have a wonderful time in our fair city.

I'm too far outside the city to really keep up with anything fun going on, but I wish I lived closer so I could be of more help. Binge drinking and buying pedals at Moog sounds like a good time, though.
