I enjoyed this (gonna try to put one of my double deckers into Lotus tuning):

I have one of those. Actually 2. I ordered 2 different kalimbas from them, which they sent me. End of transaction, right? Well a few weeks later or a month or whatever, they sent me 2 more. The funny thing is they had sticky notes on them that said they were buzzy and needed fine tuning. Obviously this was a note to themselves that it needed more work and not ready to be shipped out. So, it was very weird that not only did I get a double order (4 kalimbas total), 2 of those kalimbas weren't even ready to be shipped out.

:idk:

Nice. So...four different tunings?

Don't think this had been posted yet. Lovely improv stuff which is then looped and mangled in a small Eurorack setup. Simple but beautiful.

That was lovely, thanks for posting. I never considered putting kitchen foil on top of metal instruments as a percussion effect before. Need to try that on a glockenspiel.

ooo thanks... this sounds very Cage-y! The prepared glockenspiel? Not something that I've heard before! If only it wasn't midnight here I'd try this now (everyone else in chateau Moid is asleep at present). Something for the weekend indeed!

Just grabbed a really basic kalimba to see if I can get what I want placing my pedalboard afterwards. Can't wait to have it there. :omg:

Finally grabbed the Kalimba from the rehearsal room and started jamming a bit with it and a couple of pedals. Love how it sounds.
Now I can't almost feel my thumbs (or, I just feel hurt), but I think I'm gonna spend a lot of time just layering stuff and heavily modifying it.
Still didn't have enough time to record a decent video, just some short Instagram clips, but I'm gonna definitely do a proper one once I've messed around more with it.

So, I'm enjoying playing with the Kalimba more than I expected.
I just took a longer video, too bad the phone mic basically cut off all the low end so it sounds like 4 minutes of just small variations happening, while actually there was also a hypnotic dropped-down bassline going in and out (kalimba signal+ POG then slowed down by the CT5).
Anyway, FUN! :!!!:
