Youtube personalities you irrationally hate

On the other hand, Youtube won't stop putting Rhett Shull in my recommendations and something about his face makes me want to punch him.

I'm blissfully unaware of any Youtube personalities, other than a few my daughter watches. So, to that end, I think I pretty rationally hate Blippy and the guy from Dream English Kids, and I lovingly (but probably irrationally) hate Will from Bounce Patrol.

If they say "(you) guys" at the end or start of each sentence, I'm not a fan. Generally speaking though, I'm a pretty conservative youtube user. It's very rare that I venture outside of the people I subscribe to. Also, I'm (getting?) old, so for most youtube personalities, I'm simply not able to relate. I follow pedal demoers and live music channels (kexp and the likes), a few ILFers, some gaming, podcast and philosophy channels, and maybe a few other weird ones (like asmr).

I love Bill from Chords of Orion. Don’t care about his music at all. His voice is just really soothing. I could listen to him, Dan from Sweetwater and Aaron from the podcast Lore talk about Tubescreamer mythos for hours and be satisfied.

I hate the conspiracy nuts and the people who make vids for kids with sexualised/violent themes, not to mention the thinly-veiled pedo channels. Scum of the earth literally exploiting/corrupting children and the mentally unstable for revenue. Youtube has taken steps to remove some of that content recently, but I can't believe how much of that shit got through in the first place. Compared to that any single annoying personality I can live with, or let live I should say. I also mostly watch those I am subscribed to, and tbh most of my view time is spent on livestreams.

I usually tweak the IGNORE/REPORT controls a bit when something REALLY off the beaten path hits my feed, but that's rare.

If YouTube would completely remove all comments from every video and just keep the like/dislike function, that would make me super duper happy.
I usually just watch/listen to movie vlogs and music tracks, so maybe I just don't know of a way that comments ever enhance an experience that a direct message to the poster could take care of.

It's up to the channel posting the vid to enable/disable comments and show/hide likes. Even if some comment sections are pure AIDS it's good to have the option I think. Sometimes people have genuine, relevant things to say about the content and it would suck to take that away entirely.

I've been visiting Youtube for nearly 10 years. I think I've noticed less than 10 comments that made me happy I read it, compared to the thousands upon thousands of burning trashheap shitposts.

So yes...it's a great thing to have.
