A few months ago I was searching for information on something and wound up finding another gear forum that was TGP refugees who were mad that it was too liberal and the mods hated America and cops

it's not even the horniness that's annoying, it's the contemptuous dismissal of any view of the sexes newer than 1870 and of any guitarist who lacks the apparently requisite wing-wang.

I spent a little time on TGP, but tbh it was only to read about Vertex and a P&W guitar builder who turned out to be another scammer, I haven't been back since.

There's a UK guitar forum I spend some time on and a Sci-Fi & Fantasy forum that I visit from time to time, the second of those being the nicest forum I've ever spent time on.

I have a "friends only" approach to FB so that makes four places where I may be found regularly posting. I also browse Imgur but rarely comment and have never posted anything so far.

There was a time where arguing with people was entertaining now and again, but these days I prefer peaceful, mutually supportive places and include ILF in that

The TGP is run and moderated by hyper liberals.
Theres this thing you are allowed to do which is make not in your face but also not so subtle jabs or antagonistic threads/posts directed towards conservatives/right leaning people on there, and they are only pruned/closed/modereated if some one right leaning points this out or issues a counter argument. Big Mike perma-banned me for pointing this out, with a post that included links to 3 of these posts that were currently running and explanation. That post got some "like" and he proceeded to also ban at least one of the people that gave my post a "like." (according to this guy who I had off site correspondence with).

I have no recollection of any super sexist posts on there either, the "crew" (the guys that have 50,000+ posts and inhabit the pub 24/7) are about the farthest thing from some dude that makes snide sexist comments, most of those threads read like a huffpost comment section.

The pub is a completely different animal from the other places... I try to stay out of there though. I can't tell what's real and what's trolling.
