Retro Sneakers

Post by JereFuzz »

Ok,

I love me some retro sneakers and I’m always on the hunt for new brands/models. What are some brands/models you folks like? Some that I’ve bought/noticed are:

Tretorn Rawlins 2
Puma Roma/Liga
Onitsuka Tiger Mexico ‘66
Diadora Camaro
Golas

I have two pairs of Onitsuka Mexico '66, they're very durable and comfy. Sold my white deadstock ones, they were too bright for me.
3 pairs of Nike Dunks, (two low one high), that's my favorite basketball shoe besides the Blazer, which I have a rare version of (grey "Made in '81").
3 Converse Jack Purcells and one pair of regular All Stars.
2 New Balances: U410 (early '80s design) and 1300 (mid-late '80s).
1 Puma Brazil, also a very comfy shoe similar to the Suede and such.

That's about what I have right now. I like '80s sneakers.

Nice. I’ll look at those. Look into the Tretorns - they def have that 80s look:

Yeah I can't wear Tretorn, Norway / Sweden rivalry u know. Plus they're not really my thing, a friend had their All Star-ish model and they looked real chunky. More like a PF Flyer, which I prefer anyway. Or I might go Gola or Saucony for that weirder style.

PF Flyers are my go-to now, they're slightly better made than current Chucks and the removable insole means I can have some arch support.
