Yeah, that's an outstanding one (& on that Jaki Byard record above too)!

I just Googled "most recorded jazz bassist" and dude in the comments posits that Ron Carter is not the most recorded jazz bassist.

He claims it's Ray Brown. With Milt Hinton right up there too.
