Yes go.

I’m probably buying a ring mod this year. Still have to solve the conundrum of loving the sound of the Moogerfooger but disliking its format.

Maybe an OPamp Big Muff just for the sake of being my teenage SP fanboy again?
Good deals: OsbornKT, Phantasmagorovich, UglyCasanova, DarkAxel, Skip, D.o.S, ColdBrightSunlight, Eivind August, Goroth

I might buy another pitchy glitchy pedal for my board as I sometimes wish I had another option. On the other hand I'm often content, so we shall see.
Maybe get some other instrument to change things up? Like a sampler or something? Or maybe not?
Record the new iRerror album. The only clear gear-related goal of the year.

I want to buy a Fairfield Circuitry Unpleasant Surprise but I don’t want to pay taxes and shipping so I’m waiting until I can find one locally. I have the cash set aside already.

If I see a Turbo Rat for a reasonable price I might jump on that too.

I usually pick up old DOD Death Metals on the cheap when I see them since I seem to use them with everything. I’ll continue to do so b

Honestly can’t think of anything else I’m planning on buying. I’ve got a sick amp rig, I love my bass, have too many effects.

However if like an insanely cool ring mod dropped I might be unable to resist such temptations.

If anything I’d like to build a shelf/display for my effects (I see a lot of cool stuff on Pinterest and Instagram) so i can have everything on display and not sitting in plastic tubs in my closet when I’m not using them on my board and actually get more use out of stuff I have now.

get my MacBook fixed
install Logic Pro X
learn to use Logic
get the neck on the J-bass steamed out
(fretted) second bass: potentially a P-Bass, short-scale, or Epiphone Thunderbird
isolated power supply
put the Laney and the Kalamazoo Bass 30 in the shop
try to get at least an EP's worth of material done
Keeley Loomer
mini germanium Fuzz Face
Expandora with the red knobs
possibly a new flanger
Yamaha FX unit like Christian used in Slowdive
start using my rackmount gear again
1x12" kick cabinet that i'll rotate different speakers in/out of: i already have a Weber that's a JBL D-120 clone, and want a Fane-type as well. a Jensen alnico would also be nice
be able to afford any of this given that my road trip out west will probably cost 2.5-3K.

Wiring the rack properly.
Learning my gear better, particularly in the interactivity of the ludicrous excess of my fully wired rack.
Getting my MIDI PC and CC controls and control system in order.
Doing some DIY pedals that have been on the back burner.
Getting on with my hacktastic conversion of my Fernandes Strat copy into a baritone.

Not much, I'd like to add a Tensor and maybe one or two others if I have spare funds, otherwise it's going to be making noises with what I have.

Not planning on buying anything for 2019. I have plenty of equipment, plus I'm getting close to paying off my student debt and need all the disposable income I can get to bludgeon that motherfucker to death.

- Get a small pedalboard built (already in process) and stay in my happy place configuration-wise, i.e. a small collection of essentials
- Only pedals I'm really interested in at the moment are a Thermae and the new Particle. Would be nice to maybe get one or both and nothing else, but I'm not gonna get too unrealistic haha....
- Learn to build more. One of my best friends is moving down the street and he's a pretty good pedal builder, so I'm looking forward to boosting my totally lacking soldering skills. I'm ok with resistors etc but with inputs and switches, total trash. With that in mind, I wanna build a bunch of fuzzes.
- Main gear focus will be recording stuff, but keeping it as limited as I can. Maybe buy a 500 series module or two, and a nice mic for guitar (likely Royer 121).
- Sell some guitars.
- Make my humbucker guitars happier, mainly my LP Standard that's super sentimental but sounds pretty damn dull. Better wiring and brighter pickups.
- Make a lot more music.

you might also consider a different brand of strings. i find that my guitars, especially the ones with single-coils, sound radically different if i can't find my preferred Regular Slinkies and have to use DRs or D'As.
