Oh fuck, now I want a marimba too! ...and a quick check reveals they cost way more than my car is worth :( . Hmmmm do I really need to go to work? Would I be happier staying at home with a marimba?

Its probably bigger than your car too.

Seriously though, make the boy get a paper route or something to help finance it. Or take a 2nd mortgage on the house. Lots of ways to make it work.

Good point... I'm not sure it would fit in any room in my house now that I think about it, let alone in my car! OK I can reduce my desire for an instrument if I'd need to buy a bigger house to put it in :)

The boy is too young to get a paper route! Clever idea though :)
