Yeah probably! As long as it's not in the middle of the night.

Transport from the airport to the city is a 20-25 minute train. You'd certainly have more fun going into the city than hanging around the airport for 8 hours (though it's an unusually nice airport).

I've been there a bunch and always like it. In terms of actual things to do you may be better served asking the Oslo dwellers UC and Eivind

Train from the airport to downtown Oslo takes 20 minutes, so I'd definitely do that rather than hanging out at the airport. Grab a drink and a bite by the docks, check out the opera house, visit a museum, hang out with Eivind/me. All good stuff. When do you land?
