Kent, the enclosure looks amazing! Did you use some kind of epoxy resin for theUglyCasanova wrote:That looks super Bakvendt and drippy!
last coat? The kind where you mix in the hardener into the resin?
Either way, the color-blend, the text, the image, everything looks great.
Thanks Knut for hooking ILF up with this amazing pedal! I haven't hadPladask wrote:

Thanks, man! Yeah, it's called crystal resin. It's for making transparent jewelry.Seance wrote: Kent, the enclosure looks amazing! Did you use some kind of epoxy resin for the

I was asking a painter friend about this because I've got a few paintings that might benefit
from being coated in resin. She said that she used to use a very inexpensive resin for
coating wood floors and got universally great results but she stopped using it because
it isn't archival. But she did say that the new two-step epoxy resins are much better and
less toxic than resins used to be. And by using a little blowtorch you can get rid of bubbles.
And who doesn't want a little blowtorch?

Yeah, wood resin tends to get a yellow tint as time goes by. I think cloudscapes used to use something like that and experienced a tint on his earliest pedals. This resin, theoretically, shouldn't. Albeit, I've only been making these for a short period of time, so I can't guarantee that it won't, but from reading about the brand I'm using online it seems to hold up perfectly over time. That being said, jewlery is not meant to be stepped on, so I'm not sure how much of a beating they will be able to take if you've got mad butterfingers (butterfeet?).

Also, update on this? Would suck hard if it went missing.doommeow wrote:Tracking says delivered to mail box. Eyes say mail box empty. Going to wait until Monday before I start yelling and breaking things.

Re: BAKVENDT - ILF Reverse Delay Thing!
I plugged in and did some noodling with the Bakvendt.
The first foray turned into a 22-minute exploration. I don't have enough disk space
to process a clip like that, so I dipped back in for a second exploration and came up
with the below audio clip.
The battery on my camera was low, so I couldn't record the full 22-minute clip or
this clip... but I was able to put together some visuals anyhow.
For this it is Basic Audio Fuzz Mutant going into the Bakvendt and then into the Boss RE-20
for stereo separation. I had the CT5 and BitQuest hooked up, but for this clip I didn't end up
using them.

Oh man, I'm getting an error on playback even copying and pasting in YouTube. Hopefully I can see and hear it before I leave for London tomorrow.Seance wrote:I plugged in and did some noodling with the Bakvendt.

Nicely held at that spot where you get that little bit of digital graininess lingering, like there's a fax about to come through.

Granular grind was fun with fuzz. Tomorrow I will try it with clean guitar.Heraclitus Akimbo wrote:Nicely held at that spot where you get that little bit of digital graininess lingering, like there's a fax about to come through.

Got a chance to buy one second hand for a very reasonable price, but was too slow in replying.
