I saw them summer before last and they were amazing. I have no idea how they do it. Seriously, they don't even take a set break. They played the entire show in one long-ass set. They still got it.

Well, I'll have to say that those old bastards can still play. The played a single, nearly 3-hour set with no breaks and a ton of energy. They were tight, for sure.
HOWEVER
After having seen the Somewhere Back in Time tour in 2008, I was really hoping they would make half of their playlist from the classic tunes. They played 90% stuff from the new forthcoming album, as well as stuff form their last few. It sounded just fine, but I wanted old shit!!
As far as what I consider good, classic, old-school Maiden, they played only five tunes: • Wrathchild • Iron Maiden • Running Free • Number of the Beast • Hallowed By Thy Name
So yeah, I'm appalled they didn't play The Trooper, Wasted Years, Infinite Dreams, and at least one tune from Powerslave. Bruce commented on the song selection during the show, saying something like "We're tired of playing the same old shit, blah blah." I get that, totally. But that doesn't change the fact that I want to hear the old shit.
Also, more than half the songs were of the slower, contemplative, melancholy variety. They usually play one or two of those, but not so many. A totally different mood at this show, for sure.
So to sum up, the band was in fine form and they still got it. But I didn't much care for the set list.

Well then, don't go to this tour. And what you are describing is basically their last tour. The songs were from Number of the Beast, Piece of Mind, Powerslave, Somewhere in Time, and Seventh Son. Basically all the good shit. They opened the show with that Churchill speech, and then shit exploded and they ran on playing Aces High. I almost creamed my shorts.
Honestly though, they sounded fantastic. It was totally worth buying lawn tickets, but I'm glad I didnt' shell out for good seats.
