I’m sure that that pickguard let’s them cut cost by having all pickguard mounted components, but that shape is not doing it for me, personally. Color me curious about the more affordable Explorer and Flying V though!

Yea, I have pro pics from Sweetwater and scored one with a miniscule, and I do mean "if I can't buff it out, take away my polishing cloth" scratch on the back of the headstock.
On day one of release, I'll take a hundred bucks off for that.
