What to drink to prepare for hollerin'

Title is relevant. I'm at a bar and I play in an hour and my throat is a little scratchy. What should I drink? Whiskey? I will be yelling.

Someone told me to make a boilermaker. It was a bad idea. My voice is shot and my guitar playing was sloppy.

Warm liquids only for an hour before you play and during your set. It's not really fun, and actually totally sucks to drink hot tea on stage when you're sweaty and hot, but it really helps the voice.

Ginger ale, two spoons of honey, pinch of lime, glass of crown royal mixed with a shot southern comfort, blood of a virgin HimalayIan snow monkey, mixed with a pixie stick and you'll be sounding fresh like mark waglberg with sporadic cranberry zombie croons
