"Younger than Slash, still alive, famous as a guitar player" is a pretty short list. Jack White and Dave Grohl are probably less willing to regularly pimp their names.

I think it hilarious that he described them as a high school rock band

"Gibson? There's Tortex Yellow all over that guitar. "
This is a very impressive collection of Roto Toms. That's 21 Roto Toms in all. That is only $33.00 a Roto Tom.

I mean, consider that Green Day's songs are some of the first songs the majority of new guitar players learn on guitar nowadays. They still pack their shows and make new music. I know many people who still go out to see them whenever they come in state.

With that said... Gibson charging $1399 probably is not going to get it into the hands of said demographic.

Yeah I definitely feel like the venn diagram of "People who would buy a Billy Joe Armstrong Signature" and "People with $1399 of disposable income" has a pretty narrow overlap.

Looks cool, but it looks cool for a $799 guitar to me.

And it now competes with the..$800 LP Jr DC that came out today.

I suspect closeouts galore.
