What do you regret doing but then you do it again despite yourself?

Every couple weeks I go out for drinks and end up leaving my wife hanging and feeling neglected/disrespected. Then I'm like "I regret that I won't do it again" but inevitably a few weeks later I do it and don't even realize it's happening until it's too late.
