While AXZ is going down in knobs I am going the opposite direction. Latest 5 knob percolator boards. Voltage starve, Bass control, Master gain, Volume and a Bias control. I really think my dirt search is over after building these but I may expand on this circuit some more(Perc/Muff hybrid, Perc with green ringer octave after, etc.). Will be listing some for sale on reverb soon.
I Wouldn't be able to do it with OSHPark boards. (message me if you want me to give you some recommendations) I'm also trying to do everything with on-hand parts and Si transistors.

I love all the extra knobs, do you have clips of this latest version?. Ive Had a perc ringer in my files for a bit that i need to finish.
Hey!! :hello: I follow you on instragram and actually asked you for recommendations a while back but never used another supplier. I do think if you do the circuit right, one knob and riding the guitar volume would suit most. Great prices though man. No sound clips yet for this latest version. Waiting on a few pots to box the first build up.

Just got my new Even Anguish and messed with it last night. Honestly, at first I wasn’t feeling it. After dicking with it for a half hour or so, it finally clicked. Great tones.

Shit i totally forgot about that! I still highly suggest Elecrow and ive also been trying out easyEDA with decent results.

Ive spent he last two days testing transistors trying to get the balance between Clang and clean up.

The Even Anguish is what started me down my Perc path. its a magic implementation.

Am I mad in thinking that Percs sound a little like a superfuzz with the octave switched out (ala Buzzz?)

Yeah, it took me some getting used to as well. But now it's a charmer in the worst possible way. Like an alley cat dipped in rotten sardines, marinated with burning plastic and a topping of toxic batshit. I just wish it would gate more. Porbably need to give it a good boosted kick in the baloons.

I have a Buzzz as well and they are totally different flavors for me. Even with the octave out the superfuzz is running through a few more transistors and has a bit more saturation overall, as well as a switchable tonestack. For me percs are just so much more (I hate that I am even going to say this) transparent. They clean up better with the volume knob and even at full fuzz I can still hear every note in a chord. The more that I build fuzz pedals the more I realize the beauty of simple circuits done right. I've done big fuzz builds before with many different transistor arrangements and there is a reason I keep coming back to the perc. It's just such a badass circuit that gets the job done.

Also, not hating on the superfuzz, still love that circuit. But it is quite different for me.

Much like the latest Cafetiere iteration and BoS super perc, the D Rock special is a pedal of interest. We need more mega Percolators.

I second this notion

I’m somewhat unrelated fashion, what do you guys prefer more Clang or volume cleanup? I’m down to testing two resistors. One set that I like is a bit more starved, has a pronounced attack (more clangy) but doesn’t clean up as well when rolling back on the volume. The other set is still fairly immediate but cleans up better.
