I know that feeling. In my case it's "It's Only Rock 'N Roll (But I Like It)" by the Rolling Stones. My father and I have been at the concert in Düsseldorf during the "Bridges To Babylon" tour and the Stones played a fantastic version of this song that I haven't heard before in my life (I was 17 years old back then in '98).
