Reverb suggestions (very specific criteria, also for bass)

Currently on a quest to find a new reverb pedal. I've sold a Cathedral and a Hall of Fame in the past, and I regret both, and sold an RV-5 I didn't click with. I'm using it for bass specifically and thought maybe I'd fish out some suggestions.

Hall of Fame 2 : my main contender. 3 tone prints, small footprint, very versatile. I have some concerns about the longevity of the "mash" switch but that's minor as I know TC builds a quality box.

I'm looking for a BIG washed out sound, the "Hall" on the Cathedral, the Siger Ross (??? It was on there when I bought it, don't know the band) tone print on the HoF.

The Cathedral was great for the tonal controls and reverse reverb it had but there was a lot of flerb I didn't use. I'd have to huy it used for it to meet the HoF price point.

I DO NOT want a "shimmer"/glitch/octave reverb and the fact that that seems to be the only setting that anyone wants to demo is really chafing my butt. I don't care it's on the HoF but this is not a sound I find pleasing.

So big, but w/o shimmer, and at a normal price point, say under $250 MSRP? Anything I'm missing? I kind of like the Neunaber one with all the different reverbs from the demos I've seen. And something like the Supermoon is cool but doesn't have as many options. But nothing else has really grabbed me but I might be overlooking something. The digitech reverb looks like a clown barfed up a cake and that's preventing me from really considering it.

RM-1N maybe?
I've heard great things about the Mercury 7, it does have a shimmer but it isn't the focus, the cathedra setting does sound pretty huge.
Tried a Neunaber Immerse and didn't enjoy it, never really went wet enough and a lot of the settings sounded very, very similar.
A Digitech Supernatural might do it, or go all out and get an old Lexicon rack, they come up pretty cheap, pretty often around here.

I have looked at the RM-1N and it looks amazing. And built locally. I'm trying to decide if I need "that much" reverb. I love how it looks, sounds and wow hot damn. Maybe you're pushing me over the edge!!!

I loved the spring on the Supernatural, but don't remember much else about it. I'd still buy it just for the spring setting.

Another one to look into is the Source Audio Dimension... The "e-dome" setting is YUGE.

It's nuts enough I would need to try it out first to justify that kind of insanity.....

T2: a lot of modulated and dark algorithms. can be had for about $100. the only shortcoming is a lack of a modulation depth pot, so you have to dial the mix back if it's too much. I don't know if this is the pedal for a 'wash.' It's more like a dark cloud that envelopes your sound.

Reverb-X: distortion after reverb, compact, reasonable price and should do fairly well on bass.

MS-70CDR: you can program 1-5 reverbs in series, allowing you to do ridiculous sustain and ambient walls of sound.

Wash V2: delay/reverb combo box. you can play each effect off one another for a nice, crashing wave of sound. it's a 2-for-1 pedal, but with some tweaking, I imagine this could sound even fuller than just 2 effects.

Whatabout the EQD Afterneath?
Seems like theres s lot of reverb pedals that would fit the description really..Red Panda Context, Hungry Robot Stargazer, Caroline Meteore, EQD Levatation, Walrus Descent.
Supermoon doesn't have a lot of options but it sounds so fuckin good for what it does. I was an idiot for selling my Chrome.

Walrus just came out with a new one called the Fathom that has a lot of these ambient style options in it.

It's not just a reverb but I have used the bitquest as a bass reverb with great joy and happiness and it gets way beyond wash plus it has a mix knob so that's a thing

I really like the TC T2 and the Hardwire Supernatural for big reverb. Supernatural is always on my board for the spring mode, but the other modes are huge sounding. You can dial back the shimmer with the tone control in the shimmery modes. The Plate mode can get subharmonic and vibrate floors real easy.

Yeah I'll throw in a vote for the TC T2. Its cheap and mine has lasted a few years of abuse. There are a couple cool presets I like and the really good shit is when you dive into the tone print editor. You can assign multiple parameters to one knob and have a few cool settings on one tone print. It doesnt get dirty like the rm1n but hey throw it before a gated fuzz and get gnarly.

BitQuest.

I was gonna say Mercury7, but that's maybe a tad above your price range. RM-1N is cool too. I have all of these and I play da bass. BitQuest keeps all of yer low freqs, does medium to huge verb really well, has tasteful modulation, pre-delay to get that "lows smacking the walls" sound, is small, can be had at a fair price, plus has a dickton of extra modes for whenever you wanna change how your entire rig sounds in 0.2 seconds.

This sounds pretty sick. I like the sound of it and will have to watch some demos. I can't figure out of I like the 3 toneprint slots on the HoF2 or the default settings.

I've looked at the Afterneath and it looks interesting, these other options look great too, all have numerous pros and cons. It's trying to figure out the best option for plunking down a fair wad of cash.

I feel like I am going to actually have to venture downtown and test these in the flesh at the Moog store.
