Hahaha that'd a pretty sick trade on my end
Good news is he's giving me a E352 for a Mantis + $85 & we are meeting locally. I wonder if there's a way to route both waves to just output 1, so I can not have to worry about mixing/panning this on top of every other stupid sound source in my setup
You lucky motherfucker. That's a pretty awesome deal. Maybe just get a mixup or something? Mixers seem to be in abundance right now.

Yeah the gods have been shining on me w unexpected Euro acquisitions lately, and in such a timely manner haha
I also got a new Great Destroyer coming from the one true aen. I haven't messed with much distortion since September, so it'll be fun to have some absolute chaos on tap to spice things up.

I gotta send my KMix in to get repaired due to some weird stuff happening with my channels 1&2 and phantom power, but hopefully that process is fast. I'm definitely gonna miss having a mixer for a week or so. I'll probably move my 18i20 into my bedroom from the studio, but I'll still have to configure my computer/DAW to monitor everything I'm doing, rather than the default being for audio to pass, like it does with the KMix :(

solo tunes:
completed works || loosey goosey releases
associated acts:
Raab Zamboni (fake jazz/real noise//sax, modular synth, editing, misc) || Field Guide (my best friends//sax on 2 tracks)

I make t-shirts, patches, koozies, buttons, CDs, sometimes tapes, and eventually i'll start working on pedals again. DM me for pricing!

I probably would have impulse bought an e352 by now if anyone had them in stock. So yeah fuck you baremountain. Probably why nobody has them in stock, Paul schreiber is walking around paying for groceries with e352s.

I'm still trying to figure out all of them shits. Haven't fired the rack up in a few weeks. So that doesn't help. Trying to get the guitar pedalboard sorted.

Also trying to figure out a recording set up. Might get a Focusrite 18i20. That with the 11rack and a bass di with my laptop should make for a decent portable set up to make some tunes with my old guitarist south of town. Also should double duty well with making some recordings at home.

I’ll take it, for a ridiculous uncharge. I take back those mean things I said.

They'll be all over the place in the summer :p
Everyone will move on to whatever Mutable puts out. If that happens this year.

Glad you got the Tempi safe and sound vid!

Can someone please talk me out of making space in my case for a Rainmaker? I've always been an insufferable delay junkie and watching videos of this thing is killing me.

1. It's huge. You need a fairly sizeable case to fit this plus your other modules and will sacrifice HP that could be used towards a series of other modules.

2. It's expensive. This module will cost you $639 and I'm sure the secondhand prices aren't that much lower.

3. It lacks immediacy. All of that complexity is nice but it doesn't lend itself well to getting ideas from your head to your patch quickly.

4. The screen is kinda small.

This was cathartic because I've been in awe of this machine for a while. I, too, am a delay junkie. I was satisfied for a while with just the DLD but then I added Tapographic and it offers everything I can want besides cool pitch delays or really intricate delay tapping.

This is great, thanks. I have a chronoblob, (as well as a crush delay, which probably won't stay), and I'm reasonably happy with them but I am missing some things like multi-tap. I don't really find myself wanting pitched delays, maybe I'll check out the 4MS stuff later...

Yeah the Rainmaker is just too much for me to even try wrapping my head around it. I am very happy with my Chronoblob and have a Folktek Alter 2 (which I might flip for a Tapographic delay) on the way. Should be more than enough delay for my small rack.

Is getting outside sounds (i.e. from a microphone) into a eurorack system as easy as buying a Mutable Ears and running stuff into it? Is the Ears even necessary?

Asking because planning an FX rack based around Morphagene and would need to get sounds from the world IN.

For a microphone you will likely need something like Ears/Mikrophonie/Doepfer A-119/etc. as the level is quite low to begin with so it will require quite a bit of amplification to reach modular level.

I'm pretty sure the Morphagene can handle at least line level signals amplification just by itself though (it has a sort of smart automatic input level adjustment thing going on) but if you want to process sounds before going into the Morphagene then yeah, get something like Ears. It's probably the best price/features/ratio you can get. An envelope follower is a good thing to have anyway if you want to process external sounds.
