Just ran into one of these while cruising CL and had never seen one. Not made anymore, maybe for a good reason?
Has anyone run into these? I don't necessarily care for the classic switches on Jags/JMs anyways and can appreciate the updated versions. But can it hang? It's the same as the image below, the colors and maple neck did get my bulge going though the bridge weirds me out a bit...
the only thing that sucks about em is their dan electro-esq bridge. otherwise i've found these guitars to be solid.
stack vol/tone pots are fun. though the location of the pickup selector switch isn't any better than on a les paul or similar.
but for what they are. great guitars. a friend of mine had one for a minute, set it up for him. i rather liked it. didn't like it as much as the "real" jazzmasters he used to have, but that's not quite what this guy is. anyways i just nitpick about weird stuff since i'm a guitar tech lol.

Ya, I saw one for sale, I figure for something that might play reasonably well, just under $200 isn't the worst thing in the world. Would definitely be looking at replacing the bridge.
The entire VM line is rock solid and punches well above its price point. I'd say it's definitely worth checking out.
