Anyone installed firebird pickups properly before?

Having trouble with a recent build.

I put in Firebird pickups, but the neck pickup keeps on popping up. Am I supposed to drill a hole for the mounting screws to go into the body? Right now I just have them in the pickguard.

Any ideas?

Like with normal humbuckers you need to have springs between the tabs on the pickup and the underside of the pick guard/pickup ring



A tip, if you get les Paul type springs that are really long cut them down to about an inch for firebird pickups

Wow I'm just an idiot and didn't think to put the springs on lmao.
