pretty sure that's not an easy one to get in to. friend of mine used to live in DC and her band played there but she had a connection.

Ahh, gotcha. Been a while since I've been back.

Second St. Vitus. Sucks about Shea, but good news about Market Hotel coming back yet again. Ol Todd P still at it...

St. Vitus is rad. It is considerably harder to get played there after the Nirvana Reunion happened there though.

They even have non metal bands play there now.

The only shows I saw at St. Vitus were Power Electronics and live modular ( ) sets...so I've had an 'outlier' experience.

This place is called Everybody Hits :thumb:

Aside from the other Philly spots mentioned, you can also try the Pharmacy.

Also hit up Ithaca Underground if they'll be in that area, they have a healthy scene there. The Bug Jar in Rochester is also an option.

ohio isn't east coast, but guess i should return the favor if any of you wanna hit the midwest.

Columbus
- Spacebar (my joint, hit me up)
- Ace of Cups (our neighbor)
- Big Room Bar
- Rumba Cafe
- Cafe Bourbon Street / The Summit (two joints connected. dives though.)
- Tree Bar
those are the ones i'd recommend but you can find almost all of them on cringe.com

Cleveland
- Grog Shop
- Beachland Ballroom
i only know those two and they aren't exactly small venues, but i've played in both, so sort of...

Cincinnati
- Urban Artifact (friend of mine books shows)
- The Comet
- Northside Tavern
- Southgate House Revival (Newport, KY but might as well be Cinci)

Boston: for small bands it's really only O'Briens or Great Scott then house shows besides a few other small places that are more local bands... Chank may know some others.

The Middle East is great. It's too bad TT the bears closed. Seconded Great Scott and OBriens as legit venues. I'm sure theres new stuff that's popped up since I lived there...

 Yeah, I suppose the Middle East is probably still OK.

Don't know if P.A.'s Lounge in Somerville are still doin' shows. That might be worth checkin' out.

Cuisine en Locale/ONCE. Also in Somerville.

There's that newer place in Harvard Sq., The Sinclair, I think the booking's all corporate though. Not DIY friendly. :idk:

Oh shit I forgot about PA's. They had us do a "residency" there for one month where we played every week. Felt kinda weird as a punk band.

Does JP have any decent venues these days? I only ever ended up at house shows there.

If you're in Providence, is AS220 still around?

PAs doesn't seem to really book touring bands much anymore or at least that I am aware of. I saw Entrance there years ago but it's mostly locals now I think?

The Cambridge Elks lodga aka hardcore stadium has a fair amount of touring bands come through too, I forgot about them.

Yup AS220 is huge now actually, way more professional then it was.

JP doesn't have many legit venues besides Midway Cafe that I know of but Deep Thoughts (a record store there) does basement shows sometimes.
