i know she's a bit older, but mannnnnn i am excited about finally getting one. wondering some THINGS though.

is it worth grabbing the accessories? they seem fun but.... dunno. is the antenna necessary?

cases? DICH STUDIOOOOOOOOS said he'd be down to make me one of his pimperish encasements when he gets caught up with his pimpy shenanigans, but mebbe want something till then. the og one worth grabbing? any better option? useful but cheap is gooooooooooooood.

i thinnnnnnnnnnnnnnk there's no midi programming inside? all takes are recorded to tape and destructive? one can not go in and edit notes after? just with the sequencers?

lol. see. as much as i love you, and it is HARD TO PUT INTO WORDS HOW MUCH THAT IS, i don't know if that's an honest suggestion, or a reference to old people being uppity, or a peen allusion.

I have the unit portables case for my OP-1 and it's pretty solid so far. Heard bad things about the TE one.

Lets see, what else... the manual is pretty helpful. I went through it for a day, started more some songs on my own, then took a break and watched a few random videos to pick up a few tips and tricks. Just kinda been goin from there!

once u lay down to tape its audio at that point. u can edit the audio from there but its not like editing midi. u'd have to start again or get crafty for that.

i know some ppl use an external sequencer like elektron or DAW to make their seqs that way they can be saved and edited freely from the external device.

for me the tape really helped me focus on what i was doing when i was doing it.
knowing that it would be difficult or impossible to go back after i committed.
its helped me tremendously in my song making. not just on the op1.

this whole recent changeup of loots for me has super been about shaking up my approach to music. diving into euro for new sequencing options, Fuck It Let's Cable EVERYthing to see what happens, OP-1 is something i've lusted after for all the times because yes please useful portable work station, but i love the intuitive yet odd stylings of the PO's, can't wait to explore that in a more verbose platform.

I guess I was mistaken - there's only one "TE" case, and that's the unit portables one. It's a bit pricy for what it is, but that's my only complaint so far.

I haven't tried it, but Nils/fcknoise/brands said you can just plug in a mini jack and use that/yourself as an antenna.
