thank you Big Pimpin!

just got the cables in to wire up the KP3. i mean, i get that rca is a dj thing, but man that is annoying.

but finally get some time to sit down with shtuff and try it through pedals.

anybody have any problems running straight out modular to peds? do i need an interface module of some kind for the levels? or better to run through the K-Mix out back in for level control?

I use these two modules to bring my pedals into my eurorack... the I/O level won't be properly set without them and most likely the pedals would sound really weak without them just trying to put it before or after the modules.

I'm a huge fan of the Sewastopol for other instrument/pedal usage with eurorack. It might be overkill if you're just looking to use pedals, but the envelope follower and comparator are really useful!

That RML interface looks pretty great too, Ruiner!

I accidentally this system today. My 1st Euro experiment.

My hope is that it'll function as a fucked up noisy groovebox.

Can't wait for all the bits to arrive...

Looks like image got cut off? That's a Gieskes No Drums and a Doepfer mixer beyond it.

DU-KRPLS is mad fun. diggggg it.

interfaces - the RML looks TITS, and might go that way when i grab a 12u case. the Malekko looks perrrrrfect for space issues now.

NICE. THANK YOU. WHEN ARE YOU SENDING IT TO ME RUINS RUNNY RUINS?

If you just want to send stuff from the modular to effects but not back (i.e. into your mixer), you'll just need an attenuator. Ladik also makes simple 4HP modules with 4 line to modular or modular to line level signal converters, could be handy too. If you want control over the mix the Malekko one is pretty good though.

jia. a send return is USEFUL.

end goal is a WMD Performance Mixer, i think the send return on that would work?

It depends on the modules and the pedals really. I can plug some lower volume modules directly into dirt pedals. If the signal is too loud I'll attenuate it first, and I already have lots of ways to do that without a dedicated i/o module. I usually use the tube clip submodule in the Scooper when I need to boost ipad/phone level input. I'm getting a ton of mileage out of the Digitech Grunge, because it has a fixed dirty cab sim output that sounds awesome on most things. My EF Guitar Disruptor has an input volume knob, so that can take any module, and it's also crazy loud, enough so that it doesn't need boosting to go back into the rack. Not sure which ones but I know there are other dirt pedals with input volume, I may end up trying some of them eventually. It seems that having all these fun new sound sources opens up a new wormhole of dirt gas. Metafucked.

hurm. i got all tucked in setting up my new GINORMOUS PHONE today, so havna tried just lining in to pedz, but if it's just signal attenuation that is needs must for interfacing, would a mixer work? i have 3 mixer modules i'm not using right now, a Malekko Mix4, Doepfer 3 x 3 one and a MST Stereo Output.

murp?

Yeah, those should all be fine. Anything with a volume knob pretty much covers it. I just think there are too many better ways to do it than using the space for a dedicated i/o module. I use one of my Doepfer mixers as an out to peds sometimes too, that's better than an i/o because you can send 4 separate sounds into the same pedal.
