but we have subgenres if that makes sense?

You mean like rompers are a sub genre of the polo horsey shirts? That makes sense if that's what you mean.

I used to own a ton of those shirts because they were cheap and my parents couldn't afford to buy me anything that wasn't from Goodwill or Wal-Mart when I was growing up. So now, obviously I despise them.

When I meet renters, I wear a t-shirt and jeans. LOL. I do the same when talking to bankers. I just don't give a fuck. At 35, I'm not in the business of giving a fuck anymore. I no longer am required to impress anyone. I like that about my life. haha

I do the same thing as jwar but the inverse. I go to punk, noise and metal shows in my work garb. If I have to go to NYC for a meeting I usually try to find something to go to at night. I've been known to go to noise shows in pink (other men would call them "salmon") chino pants, boat shoes and button down.

More recently I went to an "indie" show and when introduced to people I could tell I didn't look 'Goodwill' enough. Sorry I don't feel compelled to bring a change of combat boots every time I go to a show.
