I wonder if the dunes upgrade will reflect on the Palisades.

Not only were there new videos and a new blog post this morning, but someone at EQD was actually responding to video comments and questions. Weird. It seems like you'd let the cat stay out of the bag, after all that.

Dunno about the Palisades. They've been incrementally updating pedals in groups of about 4-6, for a while now. They've been upgrading the relay system on all their pedals, without much else of note. Today's yanked blog update seems to reflect the most significant schematic/functional differences yet.

The new Ghost Echo sounded a bit like a modulated reverb or an oil can effect. The Sea Machine V3 likely also represents a notable difference, as I think the biggest difference between the V1/V2 was shrinking it down. I don't think the circuit was necessarily overhauled with different ICs or chips, the last time the pedal was retoooled.

The Dunes, the Terminal Fuzz, and Tone Job are all getting updates, in addition to the Sea Machine & Ghost Echo.

https://www.earthquakerdevices.com/blog ... d-tone-job
V3 UPDATES - JUNE 2017:

• Upgraded op-amps for better performance and lower noise than v1 & v2
• Stronger reverb signal with 2x the output of the v1 & v2 Ghost Echo
• Recalibrated “Dwell” control capable of self-oscillations when all the way up
• New artwork
• Silent relay-based switching

As for the V3 Sea Machine? The controls have been moved around again and it seems this one can self-oscillate more easily.
More range added to almost every control from subtle modulation to extreme oscillation*
Improved circuitry for better performance and lower noise*
New artwork*
True bypass
Silent relay-based switching*
* = changes

Alexander has teased a new pedal. When I think of red stompboxes, the MXR Dyna Comp and the Ross Flanger come to mind. Since they already have multiple modulation pedals and I don't necessarily see compressor as a priority for them, could it be a ring mod? :snax:

That sucks, but since it's just been a week, could you exchange it? GL.

Some pre-order pages have already started to pop up.

---I wonder if TC got permission from ToadWorks on the name, since they've already produced a PipeLine tremolo pedal of their own. :idk:

Toadworks would have to enforce its trademark legally which is expensive.

He changed the name TEN Effects a few years back and pretty much only makes that Barracuda Flanger, I think. Wouldn't surprise me if he sold the old name and/or designs or some such (or maybe TC just waited for the TM to expire).

His stuff was always terribly underrated. I owned one of the very first Death Rattles (and actually won the little PCB quote contest he held on HCFX) which had a fantastic boost and overdrive sections, and really liked the Phantasm, Mr Squishy and a couple others. Think he was just not that into the whole marketing hype train thing that you pretty much have to do.

Toadworks was actually one of the brands that constantly ran ads in guitar magazines. Half page too which isn't cheap. I think the pedals didn't catch on because they were unique at a time when clones were the big market.

Then there was also Deco Pedals by the same builder. They were announced but I don't believe any were ever made/sold because the prices were incredibly high. IIRC they were $399 or $499 each.

High-frequency adjustment = _________

I'm a bit surprised that it appears to only have 2 pots. All of their other current offerings have 4 or 5 pots.

Yeah, ToadWorks were more than a little clueless when it came to marketing. That might help explain their demise.

Building a half decent pedal is only part of the equation. :idk:
