Dishonored was okay, but I'm not a huge fan of gore.

I also sat and watched my friend play Horizon: Zero Dawn for a couple hours recently, and looks fucking great. It seems to be in the same sort of realm, and is seriously beautiful... made me wish I'd bought a PS4 instead of an Xbox One (add this to a list that's probably 100 reasons long by now).

Oh, and haven't played Dragon Age, but I hear it's also a sort of massive, enjoyably engrossing time-suck (yay).

The Mass Effect Trilogy is fun, albeit the first one feels a little dated control wise. Very fun roleplaying and characters though. Dragon Age is one of my favorite series and after playing through Origins, 2, and Inquisition, I am eagerly awaiting the next installment. Dishonored was a lot of fun but for me it was a single playthrough kind of game. Worth it though. I have the 2nd one downloaded but I haven't started it yet.

One game that I feel gets overlooked that is massive and a lot of fun is Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. The ability trees, combat, and item collecting/crafting was great and the story was a little hard to follow only because I spent so much time on side quests and forgot who was who along the way. But it is a total sleeper and recommend it to any Action RPG fan.

I just started Witcher 3 and the combat is more challenging than what I am used to which is cool, it's a highly rated game though so I can't really say anything that hasn't been said, so far I really dig it but it's also overwhelming.

Witcher 3 was fucking legit as fuck!

Dishonored 2, while short, is amazing.

I just got Prey, so I can't report on that yet.

Dragon and Mass Effect are not Bethesda if you are only looking for their games Also, Dragon Age is boring as fuck and the game play is horrible IMO. I played it for half a sitting and said "fuck this shit". It's permanently shelved.

Oh the new Resident Evil kicks ass too.

Curious which dragon age you played? I'll be honest Origins was a struggle for me, and I couldn't make it through a second run through of 2, but I've played through Inquisition five times. I mostly dig Bioware games for the decisions you have to make and how characters react to your decisions, as well as character development.

I just took it as open world/lots of side quests types of games, not necessarily only Bethesda (though they seem to be the OGs in that realm).

Also, I wanna play that new Res Evil!

mass effect - straight up didn't like it. just the 1st one, didn't try others.

dragon age - played for a little while, not bad but couldn't get into it.

dishonored was awesome, 2 sucked. it was like dead space happening again, 1 is awesome, 2 sucks.

kingdoms, haven't heard of that one...

witcher 3 is interesting. not sure it's exactly the fallout / ES type i'm a junkie for though...

it fucking blew in comparison to its predecessor IMO.
and no, of course they don't have to be specifically bethesda games, just hoping for similar stuff.

It was Inquisition. I hate it so much. It's boring and I can't stand the character perspective. The third person layout, I just can't. Maybe I'll give it another go...I doubt it though. LOL. I tend to like games that are pretty mindless though, so maybe that's why. When I play something it's because I want to escape having to think all the time. Does that make sense?

The Witcher 3 on the other hand grabbed me by the balls. It's the best game I've played on the Xbox One.

I'll let you guys know how Prey is if you're interested. It looks awesome.

I liked Dishonored 2, it wasn't the best, but it was fun.

I'm partial to Assassins Creed games as well. If there's any you haven't played of those, they are all fun.

Oh and the reason I can't play Mass Effect is all the fucking cut scenes. It's like a 100 hours of cut scenes. I want to kill something! Not watch a movie.
