Yea it fucking sucks. I'm listening to Ultramega Ok right now. If you haven't even heard that, give it a listen. It's their first and one of the best. Sad day man.

Yeah its damn near my favorite.
He was a huge influence on my early musical enlightenment and remained a force of sheer awesome as time went on.
Its a sad day, indeed.

That's indeed a great one. I haven't been a big SG listener in a while, but I'd occasionally revisit over the years—I always thought their records held up well. Badmotorfinger and Superunknown were especially huge during my adolescence, and I was always a fan of the Cornell solo acoustic stuff that would pop up here and there. There's certainly a lot of nostalgia stirred up in me today—this one hurts!

Yea I just switched to listening to Down on the Upside right now.

It's my favorite of there's ever. I don't know why. Each song is perfect to me.

Quite the shock this. Very important artist and Soundgarden one of the most important bands to me. Really feel quite sad.

So there's some reports saying it could have been a suicide and he was found with some kind of band around his neck. Damn man. I hope not. That would be even worse.

Housemate texted me about this while I was coming home from work. We were just talking about him/SG yesterday too. SG was one of the first bands I was really into when I was starting to get into music. :/

Let's hope Eddie Vedder is next.

And that Alice in Chains guy, is he still alive? One down, plenty of 90s alt-rockers still around that should go.
