Picture of Deckard's Dream guts. Doesn't seem like a hard build, just long and tedious and many spots to mess up.

Superbooth (April 20-22) announcements and teasers are starting to circulate. I'll post more links and pics as stories develop.

Winter Modular Eloquencer Controlled Chance Sequencer (teaser video)

Doepfer announced several new modules, as well as plans to distribute affordable cases in the coming months.

I don't think Beast-Tek (Australia) is going to be at SuperBooth, but you can read about their newest module, the Hyper Fist and other offerings here:

The Polyend SEQ was at NAMM, but I'm not sure if I ever posted any videos. The pre-order price is $999, and honestly I was thinking it might be more. For people who have eyeballed matrix synths and similar sequencers in the past, I think the Polyend is a fairly competitive unit. It appears to be more intuitive and easier to interact with than a Tenori or a Monome. I think all the programming and transposing can be done without external software or deep diving.

[The Polyend SEQ offers 32 steps, 8 polyphonic tracks, 256 pattern storage – all enclosed within a high-quality aluminum and wooden housing.]

If you want CV options, there's also going to be a $399 module.

Polyend is planning to launch their percussion/trigger/MIDI system in June. It's also priced at $999 and is currently being tested by acts like Aphex Twin. I'm a little more skeptical of the PERC's price, but it's not really something I need anyway. :idk:

Bonus: I haven't seen a price yet for this Walrus verb, but I'm guessing $199.

Love the Eloquencer look. I was looking at getting a Malekko Voltage Block but I'm gonna hold out for videos of the Eloquencer and compare the two.

Also Doepfer stuff looking bomb as always. New TZ VCO is mighty fine looking.

I thought that first facebook video was a good start for showing it in a live setting. It actually reminded me of Beatwave V1 for iOS. I imagine you can similarly adjust the variance or speed of the randomization.

Here's a technical walk-through with no music.

Elta is doing some Polivoks-inspired tabletop units (all toggles, no stomp switches shown yet). They've previewed the larger unit in 3 colors, so I'm not sure how many options will be available when it's actually released. The green filter is $199, and I would speculate the larger unit will be approximately $350.

WWBW/MF are still showing an ETA of 4/15 for the Rubberneck. It's weird that it could be released in 2 days and we still haven't seen any video demos. :idk:

I'm actually interested in the Walrus Fathom, hope the price isn't too extravagant.

Echo System pre-orders now being taken. I wonder if the Tensor will still make April, or if it's now looking more like May/June. :idk:

I mentioned Digitana a couple pages back, but they're also developing more EMS-inspired (and compatible) modules, which are expected to be at Superbooth next week.

This is the SX-1 stand-alone expander prototype (no $10,000 vintage EMS Synthi required).

Superbooth is 24hrs away, but more gear has leaked. It looks like a lot of Eurorack stuff will be unveiled. The big builders out of Japan are also scheduled to be on-site, so Korg, Roland, or Yamaha could debut a new hardware synth, after a quiet NAMM.

First up, a new compact edition of the Sherman FB2---

Image

I'm not sure about Superbooth, but this new filterbank out of Italy is scheduled to drop at the end of April. It's not cheap at 1990€, but perhaps it can be had outside the EU at a reduced price. I think it sounds solid, but it's a bit steep at the current mark.

This Is Not Rocket Science (Amsterdam) is supposed to have 4 new modules.

http://www2.thisisnotrocketscience.nl/eurorack/

Tuesday [$330] – a procedural sequencer.
Wobbler – a Low-Frequency Oscillator capable of very complex waveforms. Provides a physical modelling building block – a twangable resonator – to build interesting percussion.
Edgecutter – Envelope. A highly visual envelope providing immediate feedback on the current shape and timing of your control curves.
BigFish – a full synth voice module

Rossum Electro-Music's Assimil8or should be making its public debut.

There's also supposed to be a live demonstration of the latest Jomox drum machine.

The new Jomox looks / sounds like hot fire. Hoping to replace my trusty Machinedrum with it as the heart of my Battle Station.

Better be a new synth and not some controller or groovebox.
