I admit, I didn't have time for it, and I've heard it all before.
Whe
"Smart guns" are a great idea, but good luck finding the guy who's gonna be the one to troubleshoot that technology for you. Regardless of how you feel about guns, when they get used it's going to be a "now or never" moment. Whether that's shooting game, shooting sports, or shooting the guy who wants to shoot you.
If smart guns are going to revolutionize everything, why not start the cops off with them? Huh? Go ahead, start switching Fed LEOs over. But they wont' do it either, because they don't trust the fucking things themselves.
Education to people, especially children, is important but can't be done because it "looks bad."
Violence the issue, but there's no way to reduce violence without tacking it's root causes.
Poverty? Who's got time for that. Let's ask for smart guns and magazine limits, that'll stop everything!

Nice. The bottom one's an SKS variant? What's the top one (AK?) and what're they chambered for?

Re: gun question thing
Yea, Yugo SKS, late 60's. Was a BITCH to get to that condition (had so much cosmoline in the stock, but worth it in the end). Chambered in the standard 7.62x39.Chankgeez wrote:Nice. The bottom one's an SKS variant? What's the top one (AK?) and what're they chambered for?
The top one is a preban Saiga AK-102 (which are chambered in 556/223). I could do the full conversion, but I like it in the sporter configuration honestly. Going to be putting a wood stock on it though, and swapping the hand guard as well.
I have a m85np (AK pistol) as well, that I will post shortly. It's chambered in 556 also, and has a magwell adapter to accept standard AR magazines. Love it. Should be putting an arm brace on it this weekend. The BATF has finally decided to say fuck it and not care if people shoulder them anymore (will officially be announced at the NRA convention this month).
In the meantime, here's a Zastava m57 (7.62x25)(modern version of the Tokarev TT) with aftermarket grips. Totally changes the looks/feel. It's a decent gun, but I'll likely sell it at some point. I just like how much oomph it has.

Here's the round next to a 9mm...

That bayonet is serious business.
I've only got a couple of .22 rifles (and they're at my parent's house).
I've always wanted one of these, but I'm not really sure what I'd do with it given that I live in a city:

I'd like some airguns too, but I've got nowhere to shoot.

Re: gun question thing
I've been wanting a 50 cal like a Barret 50. I literally have zero use for it, and the bullets are so expensive, I'd probably never shoot it, but if I ever came across a dinosaur of a bear...well...you know. LOL.
Really though, I do want something like an AR or similar rifle. They are so fun to shoot. I'm a rifle guy though. I have two hand guns and they are fun, but I'm deadly accurate with a rifle. Love my 30 06. Wish it wasn't so expensive for bullets...maybe I should load my own. Meh.

If it wasn't so expensive, I'd definitely own an M1A.
And an AWSM.
Also,

M1A is my dream rifle. The only thing I have at the moment is a 10/22 Takedown. I'll probably be picking up a G42, and maybe a G19, within the next few months.

I wanna go shoot my Mosin-Nagant! There's an indoor range nearby that I believe will let me use it there...

Yea, it's got some intimidation factor no doubt. The weird brake on the muzzle was actually for launching grenades and has flip up sights to go with it. At some point it was altered, and is the best brake/flash supressor I have seen.Chankgeez wrote:That bayonet is serious business.

You should look into aguila colibri and cci quiet rounds for .22. I shoot them in the back yard all the time. Airguns are fun too. I have a couple small caliber break barrels (.177 and .22). Much cheaper to shoot, most of the time.
Yesss. I friggin wish. I toy with the idea of saving for one, but it's never gonna happen. Even the bolt actions are like $4000 I think. I don't have an AR yet. A friend of mine let's me shoot his whenever I want though so that's cool. What 30-06 do you have?jwar wrote:I've been wanting a 50 cal like a Barret 50. I just sold my first one to a coworker on friday. Have an modified m44, as a replacement, on the wayAchtane wrote:I wanna go shoot my Mosin-Nagant! There's an indoor range nearby that I believe will let me use it there...

The indoor one down the road is 75 feet, I think.Jero wrote:I just sold my first one to a coworker on friday. Fireballs galore out of these things
Especially the short barreled ones. The range should let you shoot them there. I have had a few humorous instances shooting my old one at my range. Do you know the distance of the indoor?
The outdoor one goes up to 300 yards, but it's kinda expensive and an hour away.
I de-cosmolined it and refinished the stock with Tru-oil (which looks awesome on anything, btw), but I've never shot it. I just wanna mess around and get the hang of things. Be nice to know someone with a lot of land...
It'd be neat to get another and saw it down:

What is the best weapon to combat giant roaches and will I need a laser sighting device for it?

Looks like it doesn't come in purple, but it comes in pink:

Can't I just get a purple shotgun and load it with salt shot?
