Hmm, it doesn't work as I imagined. I should just give up and accept I need like 3 glitch pedals to get all the textures I want.
Stammen for tap tempo, Raptio for freeze style, probably something else for really random out there though the Possessed I already want for other reasons might somewhat serve that purpose fine.
in theory if you give up some of the 8 modes there is no reason why we could not add a freez-ey mode instead and some radom-ey mode if you explain what it would be :-)
Sir. You. Have. Me. Wet.

Will email you so we can talk in more details about that stuff. :thumb:

just trying to understand:
what's the reasoning behind making dry/no-dry switched digitally by mode versus analog by switch and/or mixcontrol?
That would free up half the modes for additional joy like DD is asking for, or perhaps the envelopey goodness of a Judder...

There is no analog dry [when the pedal is on and filling up the buffer]. I can add an analog dry but that will always be on[...] for that to work, the dry and wet volume controls would have had to be processed inside the FV1, but I am already using the 3 available controls for the other functions.
The volume is controlled in the hardware world.
the only options are:
1. dry remains active regardless of the ON loop status. You can set the individual volume for the dry and looped signals.
2. dry gets muted when ON is active

One possibility though would be to have an algo where you have option 1 and one with option 2 but then we need to figure out what we do with the other algos ...
So it was more about what I wanted it to do. I just don't need the things Disarm D'arcy wants. :)

It could have been done in analog with some logic switching or relays but in this case I was trying to get something together for UC rather quickly, following his specifications, so I decided to go with a circuit board I already had available and build around that (vs waiting for months to get prototypes, test them etc). So I built the switching logic into the DSP realm.

Yeah this hype cycle seems nuttier than usual...I blame UC and Ruiner for speculating on pedal markets.

UGH. I was just contemplating getting a Raptio. Guess I'm on this hype train now too.

I just can't get over the stomp placement thing. It seems cool but that really, really kills it for me. I mean if the stomp isn't useful in anyway, why does it exist? I'd rather have a larger footprint than compromise functionality. Just offering (hopefully) constructive criticism. Obviously, to each their own.

From what I can tell, the stomp is like a standby. You turn it on if you know you'll be using it for a song, but if you're worried about tone loss when you aren't using it, you can turn it off.

So if you just want to use it as a clean boost and then be able to trigger it whenever you feel like it you would probably never even hit the switch.

I guess I need to see it in action.

UC can you do a demo where you actually show yourself stomping on it? I want to see if it's something I could work with since I'm attempting to actually start making music now as opposed to just collecting shit. :)
