David suggested having them in a row, but I said I'd rather like it on top. It's just a bypass switch. It makes the buffer start reading the incoming signal by sending your signal through the digital circuit. Most glitch pedals don't have it and just always send your signal through the circuit. It's not something you will be stepping on often (if at all) (unless you're a toan person), so I would rather have it out of the way as to not hit it when trying to step on the switches that matter.

Whut? It's the bypass switch?

I guess even after reading what you've said, I'm confused. LOL.

So it's the on button then? Wouldn't you step on that a lot?

Top right: on button/bypass switch. Leads your signal through the digital circuit and into the buffer (so you may glitch). The dry knob now controls your dry signal volume (so it can theoretically be used as a boost).
Buttom left: tap tempo
Bottom right: stammen switch. Engages the glitch/stutter. Can be used for momentary or latched glitching, depending on what mode you're in.

Interesting. I look forward to demos to see what this sounds like.

Thanks!

Not quite sure if I understand this pedal, without taking a dig, is it basically like a simplified Revolver?

Not really. I've only had the Revolver DX, so it might be more similar to different versions of it. I would rather say it's more like an expansion on the Glitch-mode on the Raptio. I guess you could call the Raptio a simplified Revolver too. Same goes for most glitch pedals. Depends on where you're coming from, I guess.

I just wanted a glitch pedal that had tap tempo, as that has been my main complaint in regards to those kinds of pedals. The sub division/x4 modes are another way to make it more usable for me in a band context. Not sure what to tell you or how to answer your question. Goal: make a glitch pedal the way I wanted glitch pedals to work in the first place? :idk:

It's going to do one specific glitch right, always the same as per how it's set?
Then it indeed seems like the Raptio or the first mode on the Revolver II.

My understanding is that the tempo will be fixed, but the sampling (and therefore glitch) will be just as random

Nah, man. It's not random.

Example: You have a drum beat going where the kick drum kicks in every 600ms. In the x1 modes, you tap every time the kick drum hits. When you hit the Stammen stomp (in either momentary or latch mode), it will repeat the last 600ms of what you played and play it back to you every 600th ms. If you tap twice for each kick drum (every half beat), you'll get 300ms samples. Same thing in the x4 modes, only the pedal quadruples the tap tempo input. So, if you tap every 600ms it will sample and play back the last 150ms of what you played, or 75ms if you tap every half beat.

I hope that makes sense.

Yeah. Makes perfect sense.

Hmm, it doesn't work as I imagined. I should just give up and accept I need like 3 glitch pedals to get all the textures I want.
Stammen for tap tempo, Raptio for freeze style, probably something else for really random out there though the Possessed I already want for other reasons might somewhat serve that purpose fine.

If you'd like, you can be your own random LFO by tapping the tap tempo switch while the sample is being held in latch mode

(3 glitch pedals sounds awesome :zen: )

Let me try to explain how it works more in detail.
In this example let's assume we are on the 1x division latching mode without dry passthrough
You press the stamme (stutter) switch : the last second of signal gets looped infinitely until you press the stamme switch again to disengage.
If you had tapped a tempo it would loop the length of sample you tapped.

Now while it is looping you can turn down the sample size control which will shorten the size of the sample and introduce some glitches. The more you turn it back and forth the more your sample gets cut up, until eventually you have just mashed potatoes

Or you can also tap another tempo while it is looping. If you do it often enough it also eventually becomes mashed potatoes :-)

That's the basic functioning.

then you have 8 modes
1xI : tempo division is 1. when you engage the stutter loop no dry signal gets through, only the looped signal
1xII : tempo division is 1. when you engage the stutter loop dry signal gets through, mixed with the looped signal
4xI : tempo division is 4. when you engage the stutter loop no dry signal gets through, only the looped signal
4xII : tempo division is 4. when you engage the stutter loop dry signal gets through, mixed with the looped signal

these 4 modes exist in latching (press once and the loop goes on without you having to hold the switch)
and momentary (the loop only holds while you hold the switch)

I guess you could compare it to how the raptio works, but with tap tempo and some different operation modes

in theory if you give up some of the 8 modes there is no reason why we could not add a freez-ey mode instead and some radom-ey mode if you explain what it would be :-)
