It's not just your experience, jwar. It's a thing.
Home schooling done right is like a school. There is a start time. Homework. A set routine. Most importantly is the socialization.
Like I said, I have counseled a lot of home schooled children. It CAN be done right. But most of the time it isn't. Most of the it's done by a parent that has a social deficiency, academic deficiency, or just aren't routine oriented and want to not have to get involved in school stuff......or has a little empty nest syndrome and can't let their kids go.
In any case, all of these are very bad.
Our society sucks. It does. So I can see the appeal to trying to shield your kids from it......but.....a kid shielded from society is one that is put at a disadvantage for the rest of their lives in fitting in with it. And I get that we are a site that prides ourselves in not fitting social norms....but don't force kids into it needlessly.
Now if your school district is THAT awful and you have some social groups all organized and are ready for a regimented school style atmosphere, totally go for it. But there are some red flags with what you are saying. Her communication deficit. Your writing style. I just.....I don't know.....

Just got back from playing with kids finnaly good ones who want to be social at the park, ya this ain't real life so it's hard to figure whos what and why....social norms....sounds like your a person of great control...nvm I got this shit.

Send those kids to school brah. You are obviously a smart and interesting dude, but you're also a total fucking weirdo (said with love--I'm not the model of 'suburban dad' myself). That way you get to push back against a more rigid system...kids need all of that stuff...the regimen and the freedom, the academics and the social, the book smart and the streetwise. You seem like someone who would have extreme views, and it'd help to give them a balance. Guide them, but give them tools to choose, you know?

No, that was good thank you...ya definitely wanting to enroll in August, and letting her go to figure out the how tos and why nots with out me I'm looking forward to, just with this area, no car, and the way things are, led me to figure homeschool may work for a bit...another reason is I may need a month to roam in order to bring in cash so be road schoolin.
