We are on our second Ninja. I have owned many blenders (and a food processor). The Ninja is my favorite.
But yes, it's super noisy. Like O Phobe...my wife used to take the Ninja in the bathroom and close the door so as not to wake me or the children.
Feel free to read any context you like.

Out of context is the best context

Yeah, Robo-coo is some hardcore pedge shit. I think the smallest one we had was $400, and for an extra $200 you get the model with a momentary pulse switch added...Antlerface wrote:If you can find a used Robot Coupe that's the way to go. They're pricey but have lifetime warranty and last FOREVER. They're what I use in all my kitchens.

+1 for Vitamix. My dad got one for me when I graduated college ~3 years ago & it's never had any problems, except one time when I was hella stoned and used the pokey-push-the-food-into-the-blades stick without the lid but that was 100% user error
I've used mine to make smoothies & all the normal stuff, but it can also make a gnarly hummus, salsa, soup, bread mix, & probably a dozen other things that I can't think of. Also cleaning it is as easy as filling it 1/4 way with water, adding a few drops of soap, and then running it. Idk about chopping veggies though. I've never sought to automate that process

solo tunes:
completed works || loosey goosey releases
associated acts:
Raab Zamboni (fake jazz/real noise//sax, modular synth, editing, misc) || Field Guide (my best friends//sax on 2 tracks)
I make t-shirts, patches, koozies, buttons, CDs, sometimes tapes, and eventually i'll start working on pedals again. DM me for pricing!

My mom used to work for Robot Coupe—they're indeed insanely awesome if you can afford one. Hers is almost as old as I am and is still going strong. Unlike me.
