I have this one: http://www.glitchtextiles.com/woven-throws/dcp1383
It's sorta rugged in a good way. And it looks great in person. Will probably have to buy a couple of pillows too at some point.

I picked up a Safavieh rug via Amazon at a good price:

I paid about $50 for it ... it's really nice in person

Keeping on subject tho, personally I'm a big fan of weird lighting. Old antique stuff that lets out a low light. Sets a nice mood whether its in a studio or home.

For instance, I have these installed around my studio.

Sticky backed so you can afix them to whatever, but they also come with mounting brackets if you want a more permanent fix. On the white setting they're pretty bright, they light up my whole studio very well. On the other settings they work well as a sort of soft ambient light.

Plus if you throw shows you can fuck with the remote and have show lighting.

I've also really gotten into wall tapestries. When I get more money, I want to get a few more for my house as well as my studio.

Cool stuff ... speaking of tapestries I bought a nice alpaca/synthetic throw from Ecuador that I will hang on my wall - I'll use curtain rails to hang 'me - and I'll use magnets to hang them so I won't have to puncture the throw - a lot of folks hang carpets as a decoration
