Pamela's New Workout looks fucking ace. Will be getting a new one to put next to my current Pamela's Workout. I've only just realized how much I love ALM.

Now to really break you bank: you should seriously consider both. New Pam's has clocked waveforms, euclidean modes and all of that business. I'm gonna have the old one with my new one now, leaving the old one to regular clocking duties and going spankin' wild with the new one.

Pfft if you don't already have an old one, why not just get two of the new ones? :snax:

I'm still just really gassing for the new Noise Engineering clock modules (Variatic Sequent/Multium, Bin Seq, and Horologic Solum). Way less functionality and more hp combined than the Pamela's, but seem to be a lot more intuitive and straight forward to me. I seem to end up not using or selling any of the deep, dense modules, so I don't think Pamela's would work out for me. And apparently, the Variatic Sequent/Multium should be out by the end of March, so I'm planning to pick them up with a Zularic Repetitor. I also just have a thing for Noise Eng :animal:

Damn, I want that new Pamela's Workout to replace my current one... That probably won't happen for quite some time though, the resale price of the now old version is going to go down enough to make this an expensive swap and I have other priorities...

I've also been trying to finally continue doing some programming for my Equation Composer (between moving to a new apartment, having a baby and my PC being broken for quite some time I haven't done much recently). I'm making a bytebeat equation player that syncs to an incoming clock, it's still not there (I'm not used to programming without a proper debugger). I corrected/adjusted a few things in the one that Bret coded too (there was at least one probable mistake in there and some design choices felt a bit weird for me), but my custom one still needs to be partly redone. Once I'm done with that I'll probably make a few other things, it's a nice platform...

Changed my mind on saving for Pamela for arguably more current practicality to buy Ripples and Kinks. Gots to have filter and more interesting CV possibilities.

Now got 4 modules on the way due to another delayed order.

Ripples is nice that it has its own VCA built into it. I've never used mine though.

Bought a New Pamela's and an Akemie's Taiko. I think at this point my Temps Utile is pretty outclassed in my system, gonna have to sell that.

Yeah the VCA was definitely a big selling point.

Nice! Hadn't seen the Akemie's Taiko before but it's genius. ALM are very clever people indeed.

I'm starting to think I might have to start a separate rack for drums because modular drums seems insanely fun. Just got to plan it and then waaaaaiit for money (or sell some damn pedals)

I'm thinking I'm going to do a separate rack for at least sequencing and timing shit.

I'm starting to look at the Tiptop Audio stuff for cheap drum modules. I don't want to build the Hexinverter stuff (3 stack of PCBs? Nahhhhhh) and Tiptop seems to nail the 808 and 909 sounds really well. At least getting the Hats and maybe the Cymbals.

Yeah a while separate timing/sequencing rack makes sense for a workflow. The tiptop stuff looks great for 808 sounds, I'd definitely want at least one or two with the versatility of that Taiko though

I had troubles syncing old Pam's to the pulses generated by my Shuttle Control on v3 firmware. Im pretty sure that this problem was coming from the Shuttle Control and had nothing to do with the Pam's. So I'm waiting on the new Pam's even though I want it, to see if a firmware fix is forthcoming from Endorphin.es for the SC.

In the mean time I got a Temps Utile and totally love it! Only one minor downside, jack spacing on the outs is a little tight for stackcables, they will fit but I worry I'm stressing the jacks. If Strange Tales lets go of his TU someone should snap it up because it is great!

Gonna go to an Intellijel in store demo of some of their new modules tomorrow. Really want to see the Tetrapad in action.

So I'm having a weird problem connecting my modular to other stuff which is probably a grounding problem? It plays nice with headphones, all great no noise, but whenever I try to plug it into an amp or interface there's a LOT of noise, same sort of noise as having a cable unplugged.

The weird part is that if I unplug the modular, have the cable going into the amp, and touch the end of the cable with my finger the sound the modular is generating comes out of the amp really faintly.

Any suggestions on how I'm being an idiot and fixing my problems?
