I wanted something bigger though :(

...but I didn't want to get into designing/cutting the wood for a 21U monster house. 12U rugged case it became.

Nice :) Are you gonna varnish it or something?

I'm considering this and doing like a 60HP case

I got a sweet, sweet roll of that Marshall Purple Tolex. I've never tolexed stuff before so it's probably going to come out like absolute shit.

Can't go wrong with Doepfer stuff. Little concerned about the power source being directly connected to that PCB though. Sort of forces your hand to where you can have that placed.

Please do! Belgrad looks great because dual peaks, 4ms SMR is just such a great thing though. Hard decision.
So the Belgrad is absolutely amazing! I haven't found a setting that I haven't liked. I was messing around with the FM input and Tito switch tonight and got some intense and deep sounds. The resonance and oscillation are so interesting due to the dual peaks. You can get some interesting harmonics by playing with the span and balance.

Also, I've actually been able to get some really interesting vocal sounds from it.

I need to record some more with it, but here's an instagram clip of my first patch with the Belgrad:

Purple tolex sounds wild, nice one.

Regarding the psu, I figure you can just unplug when installing modules. At the price (~75$) it's really a no brainer and better than their DIY KIT #2.

Also, 60HP should be enough for a system meant for processing. I think.

I meant more in placement in the box you build itself. If my power supply wasn't exactly center to the box my OCD would explode through the roof.

Unf that is mighty nice and musical. Really to nice to hear that even through a phone mic both peaks are pretty pronounced.

4 Bricks does look pretty awesome, but I am going to wait until it comes out to pass final judgement. I have a Bishop's Miscellany and I can't say I am completely in love with it. It does some weird things that I didn't really anticipate due to the time quantization and the 4 Bricks seems to be based on the same principle.
