So the Trump admin is talking about tariffs on Mexico to build "the wall." I wonder what that would do to MIM Fender stuff.

I was actually thinking about that too. Previously, when stuff like this has happened US companies has moved their factories to other places. Maybe other places in Central America, maybe Indonesia, maybe somewhere else. Or, Mexican and American companies alike can setup export fronts in neighbor countries to bypass the tax. Actually, this whole wall business is probably gonna end in disaster for America. Mexico likes having American business, but it will survive without. If China or Russia wants to play great power politics they'll start investing heavily in Mexico and Mexico is gonna do just fine, and the US worse. China is already heavily invested in Central America, with a canal through Nicaragua and whatnot.

I was raised Christian and still believe the message of Jesus, if he existed, was a righteous one. It's inconceivable that a real Christian can't see that Trump and the Republican party are the antithesis of Jesus's message.

If you live in the United States, my President is your President. I know that's unacceptable to some, but you can't change that fact. It is a fact you know. He may not be the President of you in the sense that he controls every aspect of your life, but he is the President of the United States. I will pray harder, I've had great things happen through the power of prayer. It's ok if you don't believe that though, not my agenda to change who you are.

Also, I do see Trump and the Republican party in the way you describe, just like I see the Democratic party in the same light. They are all bastards and a guy like me who is mixed on all the issues will never have a good candidate in the country.

Individuals can ascend through hard work and/or luck. Misfortune, mistreatment and misery aren't as fussy.
