If you leave one channel blank on the scan and pan you can blend though other channels until you blend in nothing it can be a volume.

Yeah, they could. I really enjoy doing generative music in Ableton so I'd love to be able to take that same idea and apply it to my modular setup that's a little different from the way a lot of people tend to do it in modular -- evolving logic that feeds a sequencer of the same noises, which is part of the reason (I think) why so much of it can sound like repetitive telephone music: it'd be nice for live performance stuff to dial up some more interesting stuff before hand and using the evolving logic to create the movement between sound elements using a mixer instead of a sequencer.

I miiiiiight have to start thinking about another Bentobox-sized/3U rack to create a mixer with the existing Euro and the other sources I have.

I don't know why I said joystick attenuators (though they would work), I was thinking more like joystick logic (ladik, wiard).

If you are doing logic things, pull some gates/triggers off those to envelope generators to a few vcas then mix them. Set the envelopes (or slow LFOs with rectification, possibly synced to a logic sequence) to be kinda opposite (a is descending while b is ascending slowly) with no trigger reset. Two sloths controlling two vcas?

I do a bit of stuff like that, but more with wave blending (more to bring in fundimental pitch at certain points of an envelope).

It really is hard to have all the functionality in under 104 HP or something. 21u is about right haha.

CFM has shown a quad VCA/mixer/multiplier setup but it was freaking expensive and hasn't surfaced.

VCAs and something like the Rampage would be pretty cool (or maths or whatever). One triggers the other (then back again), opening each VCA in an alternating pattern (of course, this could involve as many VCA/envelope combos as you can spare).

Pretty basic. I have a auxillary setup too. Had a hard time finding clean power (regretted eurorack for a while because of it).

Trying to diy as much as possible and make it guitar friendly.

Sold a ton of pedals and took half that to build this thing.

I have a Richter megawave that I love (waveshaper and quantizer) and a few other modules that I swap sometimes. Richter megawave on guitar is fun ... Moddemix too. I have some basic logic, comparator and mixer modules floating around too...Probably more for use in the aux small skiff.

The 4ms spot is sometimes cg xr oscillator, which is freaking awesome, but kind of a different level (I think -2 to +2 v instead of the usual -5 to 5) so it is almost better in a normal setup as an LFO....Kinda gotta plan for it instead of work with it...But with a trigger sequencer the frequency keying is awesome. Can do simple arpeggios and waveshaping. It sounds awesome as an only oscillator once I got past the strange setup. It kind of requires a lot of CV to get the most out of it.

As for ring mod on this setup, I use the furthrrr ext in from Hendrickson. Can also base waveshaper on feedback paths and guitar effects.

Kinda all started after I converted an nlc LPG to a guitar pedal and used it with my RMA. (Tenants booster also works with modular a bit...Haven't messed with it in a minute though...But RMA stuff put me in the mood to go the modular route for a minute. Most fun drum machine I have ever had).

The module is called the waveslicer but it's just a fancy waveshaper. I have a habit of calling it a waveslicer cause thats what it looks likes its doing in the video.

Furthrrr is nice, but temperamental. Bad power and it will never tune. They have a through zero option for it, but I don't have it. The tuning is a little wonky, but not bad...Just not like my other synths (and it is very very touchy, plus full warm up time). I like it because it has all the complex oscillator stuff, plus noise.

Meta seq is awesome too. It has sample and hold, random sequence generation, drift (slowly evolving patterns), alternate firmware, and works as a static CV controller (like a fine tune for stuff).

The horstronic seems awesome and I looked at it, but I've got this one http://stickneysynthyards.000space.com/ ... duct_id=70 on the building block...Plus a few other items (mostly nlc stuff). Phobos was awesome with communication and that kit is really nicely done and cheap.

I have a trogotronic case, but nothing really works with the power in it. I have a grounding issue in my house and it is a pain...The trogotronic adds a DC offset and noise to everything. The synthrotek power is fine though. I think it has something to do with the power bricks, but haven't had time to figure it out. Honestly, I could have built a better case though...I'll stick with the sy throtek that eliminates all my noise issues and just build cases from now on...

But, yea, I need another case too (been kinda collecting boards and cheap stuff here and there...Have some Barton stuff to build that I got sent on accident...I ordered one and got three different ones but didn't check for like three months ).

Haven't played any music stuff lately though. Just kinda sitting on the eurorack until after February.

What kind of power adapter are you using? I remember reading some wonky stuff about older Meanwell power supplies and their earth ground being wired really weirdly. This led to a ton of random noise issues.

I really need to find the tools and a space to build. I have everything but the power boards (shipped recently), but I have no access to a saw right now to actually cut the damn wood (and drill the necessary holes for wood screws).

Meta sequencer looks like a fun module, I imagine you can do a lot with that and the sampling modulator, that's always been an interesting thing to me but I always build other stuff instead.

Sampling modulator is awesome, but the information is pretty scarce on it. It works like a vco/LFO and you basically setup triggers as the pulse width (trigger out is vco out). The clock out is nice too (like setup a trigger sequence of 7 on the Befaco and a drift pattern of 8 on the meta and instant kind of moving sequences....The trigger not firing on all movements of the sequencer).

The sample and hold is cool, like a comparator on top of a sample and hold. It checks for a voltage only when a trigger from the switches in on and will only pass when the hold voltage is high...So a bit more complex and can work with sequences.

The distortion /srr style feature is fun too.

At really low speeds it will kind of reset and fire all the triggers at once kinda glitchy style and it also gets weird when a sync clock is used with the internal clock....Kinda works weird (like additive/moving sometimes?)

The neat thing is to have it controlling a switch or mux at audio rates with different firings of the triggers to get really fast switching that is voltage controlled. Instant waveshaping and blending between two oscillator waveforms or CV stuff (and can track vco like for some harmonic kinda stuff).

As for the trogotronic, I know the meanwell were weird (malekko dudes said something about soldering the ground over)...But they are different 15v ones than the usual mean well and they put the Velcro on the information side....So I got frustrated trying to pull the Velcro off without loosing the text. I guess I could email them, but I'll get to the bottom of it. Everything on it is just crooked though (rails, labels)...And plastic...Haha. I got caught up in budget instead of going slow and just diy myself (I have a full woodshop and mahogany). I've got other projects first. Basically just a fancy extra modules holder now haha.

My rampage has never had a working min jack....I don't know if I screwed up building it (it was my first and I kinda jumped in to practice soldering for some projects I'm doing for people...Hadn't soldered in 10 years outside of plumbing). But....I checked for shorts and polarity on everything with my multimeter ...No problems. I dunno haha. Probably a bad opamp or something.
