what do you have a question about friend. unless el_bandito gains some sort of satisfication by typecasting me as troll. i think the characterization is extremely comical.

in elementary school i read lots of books on greek and roman mythologie. but i am an adult now so i am more prone to read Lives by Plutarch. or The Peloponnesian War by Thucydides. Gibbons' The History of the Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire. Marcus Aurelius Meditations. you know. historie. political theory. philosophie...

i really did not appreciate el_banditos condescending attack on my intelligence stating that all i read is wiki links. but i have no problems taking his advice of stepping away from the computer & reading ANY book he recommends. ANY book (that's not a comic book, graphic novel, science fiction et cetera...).

:)

What the hell happened here? Mythology is not just for 6th graders,Opera Man! Are you IBlamecunning's new incarnation? I enjoy mythology, and moreover classic literature. It's cool if you're not into it,BUT I was asking if anyone WAS,not wasn't into it. Bandito called you out on something in a fashion(that I thought)seemed relevant to this thread. So if your only intention is to nay-say and talk about how juvenile mythology is,or pick a fight, then post YOUR OWN THREAD FOR THAT SHIT,PLZ....But if you want to wax mythological in a civil fashion then do stick around and save the flame wars for HC.

i wasn't talking crap. all i was saying was i don't think a strong central government is a good idea for the US & Federalism is NOT a good idea for all the problems this country has. & there is a REASON why this country doesn't have a Federal government like Canada. that was my simple point. if it works for Canada. fine. i don't have a problem with that.

el_bandito said i should read a book instead of reading wiki links. i STILL would like to know which books el_bandito RECOMMEND me read. i will read them. seems pretty reasonable.

um. did i say. Mythologie was for 6th graders. did i say it was juvenile. did i infer that. i just said i stopped reading Mythologie in the sixth grade. if there is a good book on Mythologie you want to recommend i'd be more than happy to read.

less_cunning. iblamesummers. yes. i think its pretty well know i change my username after i hit a certain post count. & i have absolutely NO problem letting ANYONE know what my IP address is: 24.98.230.28

i asked el_bandito a simple basic question. he could have simply answered yes or no. actually. by constantly evading the question he actually makes it WORSE. otherwise i would have BEEN shut up. at this point i can only assume el_bandito doesn't read period & he was just making some bullshit insult.
