Nanners are gross. Blech. Taste and texture.

Edit: smoothie form may be acceptable mixed with better fruits.

I wonder why artificial banana flavor is so awesome when actual bananas are so awful.
When I was a kid I used to eat chopped bananas topped with peanut butter. The more I think about that the more I'm disgusted with 6 year old me.

Isn't the banana flavoring something like, it was originally based on a type of banana that has since gone extinct and so the standard issue banana now isn't the same thing? Maybe that's bullshit.

It's the texture that really gets me, and I'm usually not turned off by soft food. I agree that they're good in smoothies. Mashed up and frozen it's a great dessert. Actually now that I'm thinking about it I think whole and raw is the only form I hate it in. Maybe I can start eating bananaanananannas after all...
