Nothing bugs me more than when someone trails off a sentence with ", sooo..."

"Well the game's this weekend, sooo..."

Gah! I hate that too. Finish the damn sentence!

Here are a few:

(1) "Going forward,..." Time only moves one way, stupid. This phrase is useless.

(2) "To the extent that..." I hear someone say this at least three times a day, instead of just saying "If." Example: "To the extent that you can weed out anything that's been mislabeled, please do so", instead of simply saying "If you can weed out anything that's been mislabeled, please do so." I know the people who say this think that it makes them sound smarter, but really it just lets people know that they're twerps.

(3) Mixed metaphors. I hear them ALL THE TIME. Example "I can read you like the back of my book."

The most annoying one I've heard for awhile is "boys will be boys". What the fuck does that that shit even mean? You're a boy, so you get to act like a knob head? My father in law used to say that shit and I wanted to punch him in his throat.

Can we also call out people that say incomplete words? It's not a phrase but I find a lot of folks in the fitness industry saying "specially". Specially is not the same as especially you dumb fucking morons.
