Rings is something special. Have you looked at the Bastl Ciao as an output module?

Ooh, that's a lot better! And yeah, I love the rings and the demos I've seen of it. eventually I want to expand and make it an Elements+rings combo. My future plan is to have one voice running a sequence and the other controlled by a keyboard. Also making ever changing alien instruments with modular is my jam. :joy:

Because I feed off your indignity, my dear. ;)

...Fuck, now it's bothering me.

So I got Basimilus Iteritas Alter in the mail today and holy shit is it ever awesome! It's so freaking dense! I put together a really simple patch: a sequence from Moskwa with the clock into RCD and a few different divisions going into the trigger, skin/metal/liquid, and bass/treble/alto. Just three modules, but it sounded amazing.

Also it absolutely loves the Pretty Years. That's a pair that was basically made for each other.

I'll post demos/clips soon

Waiting on the Ears in the mail still. And I'm not really planning any changes other than replacing the EMW Echo Delay with a Shakmat Knight's Gallop Image

I really want to get an Alter, smaller HP and more options than the normal version of it (which I have a LOVE it).

Also my Clouds and Rings are really far apart. (by vision design though)

For those of you who are looking for a case, the new TipTop Mantis seems really, really nice. And cheap. Downsides : not that much +5V (for monome/etc. modules) and no lid/cover.

But $335 for a powered 6U/104HP is a great price.

Sorry for the big images, they're linked from Tiptop's website.

Would I be able to replace the power for something like the intellijel?

That power supply looks pretty customized for the case. Might not be a simple swap. You'd probably have to contact Tiptop about that.

FWIW, if you're doing a case that you don't really plan on bringing into the outside world, the Synthrotek Cheeks of Power cases are unholy cheap. I picked mine up (6U, 104HP) for like $270 from Perfect Circuit Audio

But it doesn't let you live out your retro-futuristic daydreams like the new TipTop case does...

Well, Perfect Circuit has these Tiptop cases for pre-order. I ordered one, I have modules that will get here before that case so, I'd like to get crack a lackin. I think I have everything I need for a mostly basic voice, maybe someone could tell me if I'm wrong. I have picked up a VCO, a VCF, a VCA/mixer, an envelope generator, and a MIDI/CV interface. So I think that covers the meat and potatoes. Right?
