I think we are going to need to look more closely at rehearsal spaces. Clubs/venues, even ones with "rent our venue for private events" links on their websites are being unresponsive. You'd think it'd be an easy one to rent a place for a day, but apparently they can't be bothered to respond.truth.hz wrote:Another potential idea is to look at some of the bigger practice spaces in town. There's places that do events during the day, and are music venues at night. I have notes out to a few places. Hoping I'll hear back before doing a second blast or I start calling them.
Next step will be looking for more of an art space that we can play as the gallery/private party idea and just bring kegs in.
They have a huge main space with stage and PA, don't remember what they charge though. It would have to be BYO as far as booze goes, but I don't think they really care if it's a private party.
Do you want to look into logistics at audiocinema?
