Pass on living it.

But I'm certainly prepared to do so, vicariously.
With slabs of awkward humour in between.

This still sounds like something I'd watch.
Yep. Let's get some funding together.

But it needs a twist. Like, all of that happens, but then you're actually a Psychic Vampire.

:idk:

Only saw the terrible J. Depp movie, so my knowledge is limited.

I'm thinking like a much more mundane take on supernatural phenomena. Like (not that I'm accusing you of this, PV), a bunch of burnouts or 'wasteoids' with cool abilities who just work at McD's or something. Since so much of the fantasy is really just 'what would you do with your powers,' it'd be cool to see people just having fun in ways that we all understand without any kind of world-ending scenarios upping the ante. Stoners with astral projection abilites...suburban dads who can fly (?)...parking lot attendants who can become invisible...you know.

There are a couple examples of this kind of thing and the tone I'm thinking of, but they're on the tip of my brain. Creature Comforts keeps springing to mind, but that's not quite right.

Well there's the Addams Family and the Munsters, but those are sort of sideline. Never saw the Burton/Depp film.

What we do in the shadows is close to what you're talking about.
More mundane. Vampires with roommates.

I don't know that i'd describe myself or any of my friends as wastoids, but i did have a recent conversation with my friend who hasn't held a job in like 4 or 5 years about whether she could ever work at taco bell. As it is, she just does med studies every few months. Another friend of mine worked at an Arby's in high school with her friend and whenever an SUV came through the drive through they would step on the buns. I don't approve of the behavior, but it was a funny story. Morality in High School is a weird, arbitrary thing. But y'all are talking about making Millenial Seinfeld w/ Weirder Pronouns. And vampires. Though i'm partial to werewolves.

I watched the last two episodes of Stranger Things again last night. They were as good as i remembered (from two weeks ago). God damn. Season 2 when?

Probably right after a second season of Sense8. :whateva:

I'd sooner push for the second season of Stranger Things. Or season 4 of Bojack Horseman. Or season 3 of Rick and Morty. Or for them to finish season 7 of Adventure time fucking seriously it's been like 2 months since the last new episodes and we're still in the middle of a season.

Counterpoint: Everyone is entitled to their opinion on this matter, and media consumption is, it turns out, very subjective.

Is that good?
I think it has some charm and a few good laughs, some guffaws, with about four chortles.
The "mockumentary" form has been around for several decades now. So that isn't too fresh.
But... vampire roommates are worth checking out.

I agree. Taste is... based on taste, and should be adjusted to taste.

So I'm two episodes in, about to crack into three, but we need to revisit this show about psychic vampire.

Didn't you try to live your life in your truck with a mattress in the bed? Or was that just a fantasy? Weren't you a NY crust punk before you became a west coast digital being before you became a Midwest heroin-era* Trent Reznor cyborg?

I would watch the fuck outta that show.

*Referring to him not being slender and cybergoth. Also I really hope you don't do heroin.
