Haha, well I'll only talk through Google translate if paths cross...snipelfritz wrote:The pin/pen merger is one of my least favorite things in this world.
I never had noticed pin/pen until that video. I really can't imagine a difference.
My least favorite is the LA thing of saying things flat out wrong and making fun of you because you say it right:
Los Feliz /= Los Feee-Les ... Annoying. And I never get it right.
My wife also informed me a few weeks ago that, due to my accent, I have never once said her last name correctly. I asked how...she said it was pointless to try because most everyone does (she's from back east but grew up around the central valley) haha. It's a common name too.
More angry about Stanford thinking they could ever understand a damn thing about Bakersfield/Kern county. They can stay up in the bay (when I used to spend a lot of time in SF, my accent stuck out like crazy...they hated it haha).

Worth noting that Norwenglish is actually really pleasant to listen to. The "Hi-hi!" is a personal favorite.Eivind August wrote:Continuum transfunctioner.UglyCasanova wrote:Norwenglish is where it's at.
